Video Pop & Media Masters
These classes focus on dance and acting as a combined skill set. While the world continues to change and adapt to a more virtual culture, the entertainment industry thrives on a digital platform. We will be working with our students to channel their theatrical talent in a way that is geared for the commercial world. Students, with the help and guidance of their teacher, will collaborate to create and produce their very own TV style Commercial Advertisement and Music Video!

Media Masters is the newest addition to our D2D curriculum. This class, geared toward our older students, will not only challenge dancers to embrace their inner actor, but also encourage them to have a hand in the creative process. The goal of this course will not only be for dancers to perform, but produce their own work....from understanding what makes a strong commercial storyline, to brainstorming creative music video visuals, this class will offer the unique opportunity for students to be involved in all aspects of the media-making process!
Broadway Bound
A class geared toward the true triple threat! Using dance as the main focus, we will explore movement in the musical theatre sense; incorporating our voice and characters skills. Non-singers welcome. Enhance your performance ability by diving deeper into the essence of character. Dancing to new musicals like Legally Blonde, Shrek, and the Addams Family, as well as exploring traditions such as Annie, Hairspray, Chicago and Fame - this class is sure to be a high energy, exciting class, complimentary to any other dance discipline and sure to strengthen and improve each and every dancer!
The health and safety of our students and teachers is our highest priority. While we are eager to re-integrate, Driven2Dance is dedicated to upholding the highest level of precaution and safety measures as set forth by the CDC. Please review the updated studio guidelines below. Additionally, you can find further information and resources as they pertain to returning to dance and training with consideration to COVID-19, at the bottom of the page.
Please go over these guidelines with your dancer and explain to them of their importance. We will also be reviewing these new implementations with each class at the beginning of the session.

- Please limit the belongings you bring into the studio to the following: dance shoes, water bottle, and mask.
- During the colder months, jackets and boots, etc. will be placed on designated hooks, one per dancer, which will be sanitized between classes.
- Student will not be allowed to change clothes at the studio. Because of this new rule, we will not be enforcing tights or leotards in our ballet classes this year. However, proper footwear will still be required. Additionally, students must still wear appropriate dancewear as outlined in our dress code for all other classes, and hair must be secured and in place for the duration of your classes. Our goal is to limit the personal items being brought in and out of the studio, and minimize loitering between classes so we can get everyone settled into class quickly and get dancing!
- We will not be permitting food into the studio. Please eat before coming to class! This should be relatively easy to manage since kids will be home-schooled for at least the first 5 weeks. Make sure your dancer is fed before heading to class, and perhaps have a snack ready in the car for them at pick-up!

- Students must enter and exit the building through the appropriate door depending on which studio their class is held.
- Students taking class in D1 - Use the main entrance on the North side of the building.
- Students taking class in D2 - Use the store entrance, on the right-hand side, adjacent to the main entrance.
- Students taking class in D3 - Use the back entrance on the South side of the building.
- If your dancer takes class in more than one studio, please use the same designated door used for drop-off at their first class, when you return for pick-up.
- Parents will not be allowed to enter the studio. Please wait in the car to drop off and pick up your dancer.
- Signs will be posted in the window of each entrance to signal to parents when to send their child into class. A red sign in the window reading "Class in Session," will indicate that students from the prior class are still exiting the studio. A green sign in the window reading, "Come In!" will signal to parents that the studio is clear to release their child from the car and enter.
- Please arrive no more than 5 min early to class.
- An additional 5 min will be added to the schedule between most classes to allow adequate time for dancers from one class to exit the studio before the following class may enter.

- At this time, the Illinois mandate highly encourages the use of face masks, but does not explicitly require them when proper social distancing is followed. "Everyone over the age of 2 who can medically tolerate face covering over their nose and mouth must wear one in a public place when unable to maintain a safe distance (6 feet) from others." - Illinois Department of Public Health. That being said, despite our best efforts to limit student proximity to one another, wearing a face covering is advised for all our students during class, and is required upon entering and exiting the studio.
- We understand that exercise while using a mask may feel restrictive and uncomfortable. Please advise your child to be cautious not to overexert themselves while their body acclimates to dancing with a mask, and if they do experience dizziness or feel lightheaded, to notify their teacher immediately.
- We want our dancers to be able to breath. At this time, if wearing a face mask causes more harm than good, we defer the decision to wear a mask during to you and your child, until if/when facial coverings in such a setting are government mandated.
- For our youngest dancers specifically (6 years and under), if wearing a face mask is too emotionally or psychologically distressing, we do not expect them to wear their mask during class time. Alternatively, if you as a parent want your child to wear their mask during class, but are concerned that they will attempt to remove it, please let the teacher know so that she will encourage them to wear it. We want to create an environment that is comfortable for everyone involved, so communication is key! So please keep us informed of how we can best facilitate your intentions in regard to your little ones.
- A selection of recommended face masks for athletes can be found here :)

- Please check your child's temperature regularly, and keep your dancer home if they have a fever above 100.4°
- If your dancer is experiencing any symptoms such as a sore throat, sneezing, coughing, or other flu like symptoms, please keep your dancer home.
- If a member of your household is diagnosed with COVID-19, or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please keep your child home, even if they are not expressing symptoms.
- We always want to have our dancers at the studio! Although we typically would encourage our dancers to be in class whenever possible, we ask that even in the case of what may appear to be a mild headache or seasonal allergies, that you practice extreme caution and keep your child at home until they are feeling better, or have tested negative for COVID-19.

- At this time, although hopeful that we will be able to keep in-person classes running for the duration of the year, we are prepared for the possibility that government regulations may ultimately require that we move to an online platform for an unknown period of time.
- Should a government mandate require a return to Zoom classes, your child's dance schedule will continue as usual, without interruption. Each teacher will continue to run their class at the usual time, via Zoom. This means that we will have three separate Zoom feeds (one for each studio) that will run simultaneously to continue dancers' curriculum from home until permitted to return to in-studio classes.
- All registration and payment will take place online.
- The D2D Store will also be open soon online...We are excited to offer a variety of items, including tools for dancing from home, our very own D2D masks and other new and fun D2D apparel!
